Important Security Notice: Prox Rex ‘Touch to Exit’ Vulnerability
You may have already seen the news about a recently identified security vulnerability affecting the Prox Rex ‘Touch to Exit’ access control product, designed and manufactured by Trojan Developments.
The issue could allow an unauthorised person to gain access to a secure area without a user first touching their hand to the device.
How to Identify if You Have an Affected Prox Rex Unit
This vulnerability affects Prox Rex units that:
Have “Prox Rex” printed on the front in the bottom left corner, or
Have “Prox Rex V9.8” printed on the back near the bottom.

How Security Specialists Is Supporting Our Customers
For all current Security Specialists customers where we installed a Prox Rex button, and the button is within 1.5 metres of the wall, we will replace the unit free of charge.
